Scott Brown (1909-1982)
Howard Scott Brown (1909-1982) was born on Christmas Day, 1909 inn Mechanicsburg, Ohio. His father owned a grain elevator in the center of town. When he was 9, his family moved to Mansfield and his father opened Brown's Soda Shop. Scott Brown served up chocolate sodas and entertained the locals with his weather predictions and shop window cartoons for over 50 years. Scott Brown also published cartoons in the Saturday Evening Post, Colliers, the New Yorker, and many other magazines.
